Bought a New Car

Well, we finally settled on and bought a new car today.  This is the first new car we've ever owned.  We've always bought used before and the only reason we bought this one new is because it holds it value so well that two year old cars are selling for close to the same as new ones are today.  We bought a Toyota Matrix in Blue Streak Metallic.

It's at the bottom of the screen.  Isn't it pretty?  Well, the color doesn't show up quite as true to life as it should, it's a bit darker and bolder.  It was a very long day spent at the dealership and it took forever but we are very happy with our purchase and it was a nice drive home in it.  Needless to say I didn't spend any time at the computer today, but tomorrow I will spend the whole day writing so if all goes well there will finally be a new chapter of Hunger Moon for all of you who have waited so patiently.  I am starting to feel better, just wish I could shake this off completely.  Another couple of days and I'm sure it'll be gone.  It'll be nice to feel well again, I can tell you that.

I have the same car. Well my mom does o anyway ours is 2006 Toyota Matrix it's a black/gray color. I think you'll be very happy with the Matrix:D Good on gas, good trade in value as you've said. Plus thus far we've found to be good car in every other way:)

I can't wait to buy my first car. Still undecided if I want it to be new or used. But like I tell my parents, I'll be happy if i run and has good gas mileage.

This one does get good gas mileage, which will be nice. In the old car we were averaging 19 mpg and that's just awful with today's gas prices.

I still have a ways to go before I even think about getting a car, but I do have an idea of what I want.

There are many reason I don't have a car or drive, but the main one is back in high school when I wanted to take a semester of driver's ed, my parents wouldn't let me. Now that I'm older and have been taking the bus for the last 7 years, I have no steadfast desire to get my license. I can't afford insurance, car payments, gas etc. plus there is virtually no available parking where I live.

I wish I lived in such a place where I didn't need a car. But we are so far outside the city it's just not practical. They are very expensive.

supposedly, living in Los Angeles one NEEDS a car, but really, I don't think it's all that necessary. I mean, there are buses and trains that take you to all the great touristy places, and you don't have to worry about driving. The only thing really is time. When certain buses stop running at 8 or 9, you have to pick and choose what you do. so that's the only thing that really sucks.

I think that by the time I'm ready to start a family (and maybe move outside the city some) I will get a car.

Nice - Toyotas are great cars (my husband has a Camry). I bought my first brand new car (Mazda 3)for me a year ago February (after a 16 crashed into me and totaled my old car). It's fun to have a new car.

I was just really glad they had a X-box setup with games, a movie station, a giant screen cable TV and computers with internet access since we had the kids with us. They at least were not bored with the waiting.
