Flying Colors: A Sky Without Zeppelins Drabble

A/N:  For Ramblinsuze for her auction bid.  This one took me a bit longer to get right.  She wanted Jonathon and Rose and the first flight of the baby!TARDIS.

 

The first flight is more wobbly than either of them expected, like a baby taking her first steps, but they manage to stay upright. Jonathon eyes Rose over the makeshift console. Without words being spoken they move closer together. His hand finds hers. She smiles that brilliant, beautiful smile that made him fall in love with her. With a wheeze and a heave and an odd tune in her hum, the little ship informs him that they’ve landed. It’s only a short hop, from one side of London to the other, but someday soon she will offer them the world.
