My mother is a 29 year survivor of breast cancer and I've supported cancer research and fund-raising for all of my adult life.  I cannot even imagine what our lives would have been like if we hadn't had good medical insurance at the time to cover the cost of treatments.

I decided this time around to throw my hat in the ring, even though I hate moving out of my comfort zone.  This is worth it.

So worth it. My Grandmother died from complications of breast cancer.

I'm proud to be participating along side such talented writers. But now I fear my bidders will be distracted by the likes of you and jessalrynn ;)

Well, she could share. There's already 25 people writing Dr. Who alone. I know there's a couple I want to bid on so maybe if some of us distract her we can get a couple for ourselves.

I'm very lucky that my mom survived breast cancer (and, later, uterine cancer, which is even rarer to survive) in the 80s, and would love to bid on you, of all people. And yet ... we got our own cancer news today (no, not me, someone else in my family, and I need to post about it but need to do a very tight filter first, and I'm still pretty OMG about it all tonight), and I suspect every penny we have plus a LOT of money we don't have is going to go to treatment. At least I get to read what you eventually write, no matter who "wins you," right? :(
