Break
Rose Tyler wants the Doctor to break. It’s why she does all the myriad things she does. The flirtatious laugh, the tongue between the teeth, the shy sideways glances and the wide eyes he simply can’t resist saying no to. It’s why she links her arm through his and presses up against him, her breast soft but firmly held against his arm. It’s why she kisses his cheek and allows her lips to linger longer than appropriate for a simple friendship. It’s why when sitting at the table beside him for some feast on an alien planet, she’ll hook her foot around his ankle and give him an unrepentant grin when he startles.
It’s also why she never protests to close quarters, hiding in cupboards with barely enough room for the two of them, or being assigned to the same bedroom by hosts who frequently think they are married or lovers and it’s too much trouble to explain that they are neither. It’s why she saves her biggest smile for him and why she wanders off so that he has to come and find her. It’s why she’s started using innuendo and giving him not so innocent looks when he catches her double meanings.
Rose knows he’s holding himself back. It’s why she keeps putting herself forward. She wants him to give in to this thing that’s been between them for months now. She knows how he feels. It’s clearer than he wants it to be and just as obvious that he has every intention of not carrying through on his emotions. He’s put her up on a high shelf in a box marked untouchable and if there is one thing in all the universes that Rose Tyler knows it is that she wants the Doctor to touch her.
The day he breaks she does not see it coming. It is sudden and fierce and demanding and full of so much need and so much want that she is simply swept away. One moment she is standing by the console making a comment about the view on the monitor of the planet they’ve just landed on and she smiles that smile and the next moment he is behind her, spinning her around and pulling her into his arms. He brings his mouth down on hers and pulls her into his body, wrapping his arms around her waist.
Her hands rise up to cling to the back of his neck as her mouth opens under the onslaught of his kiss. It’s like holding on for dear life as the kiss burns through her system. And when he finally releases her several minutes later the question he asks her is merely a growl. “What do you want, Rose?”
All she can say is, “You,” before he’s flipping her around again so that she’s facing the console. A firm hand presses on her back until she’s leaning over it. She hears his zipper coming down and the fall of denim to the floor, feels the back of her skirt being flipped up, the cool air against her as he pulls down tights and knickers. She feels one finger slide inside her easily and is embarrassed at how slick and wet she already is. But embarrassment turns to relief when he pulls out and then enters her almost immediately.
He is cold and hard, fills her with both his length and his girth, and has her clutching desperately at a pair of levers to hold herself in place as he begins driving into her. His hands hold her hips and he plunges into her again and again. Rose feels a fire burning within her as every question she’s ever had about the Doctor’s sexuality is fully answered. She feels herself rising, the excitement of his sudden decision to take her right then and there, feeding the beginnings of an orgasm.
It surprises her when it arrives so quickly with a ferocious and violent force and she rides out the waves, nonsensical syllables falling from her lips. And then he is coming hard, too, grunting out words that are too slurred to understand, though her name is among them. He rests against her after he finishes before standing fully upright and stepping away. She lays there for a moment as she listens to him pull his pants up and zip himself away.
She struggles back to her feet and puts herself together before turning to face him. She’s almost afraid of what she’ll see there, that this was some crazy momentary loss of judgment. The look in his eyes tells her it’s not as he gazes at her tenderly and holds out his hand. “You’ll be the death of me, Rose Tyler,” he says.
She takes it and he tugs her down the corridor to his bedroom. She smiles at him cheekily. “Bet you can’t think of a better way to go.”
