My N key keeps sticking.  Do you know how hard it it to type the name Jonathon over and over again, when your N key is sticking?

I hate sticky keys on the keyboard.

Me, too. All fixed now, though, thankfully.

You could...make Rose really cold and have her say his name. That way it would look like her teeth were chattering.

;)

Oh! Or...copy and paste a lot.

Well that sucks! My condolences, I know how frustrating that can be as at one point my keyboard had a incident with a strawberry cheesecake spill and I spent ages fighting a malfunctioning space bar.

Thanks. It's working now though.

My spacebar keeps taking off on me at random times. I typed something, looked away and took my hands off the keyboard, then looked back and the cursor was just runnnnnnnnnnnnnning away! O_O That's extremely annoying!

*sends you good keyboard mojo* ;) ♥!

Oh, I used to have a keyboard that did that ages ago. I mean ages. I think it was a 386! *laughs*

Just a thought but Word (and most others) has an auto-correct feature where common misspellings such as teh are automatically replaced as you type by their correct versions. You may not be aware that you can add to this list. All you need to do is add a new one that specifies that (for example) typing "jt" is to be automatically corrected to Jonathon.

If you use this intelligently you can save a lot of typing. I use it all the time for things like company names or technical terms that I use commonly. The only hassle is remembering the abbreviations!

Yeah, I use that for common stuff. Never thought about using it for a name, though.

He could always become Joatha, but that could lead to some interesting and complicated explanations. Hah!

I clean off my keyboards (regular, not laptop) a couple of times a year by removing all the keys and sitting down with some of those good Method all-purpose wipes. Helps if I remember where all the keys go, of course. :)

Hmmm...that actually sound like a good name for some aliens. Rose and Jonathon can meet the Joatha. Or someone can. *laughs*

I write everything on my laptop. Unfortunately I also eat at my laptop a lot and that's not a good thing when it comes to keeping it crumb free. *sighs at self*

if it's not typing i'd suggest either sitting the keybpard on its side for a few hours to drop crumbs loose (beware they may end up in other keys) or use a normal household hoover to clean it out. it won't suck the keys off, but has enough power to get out whatever is blocking it. i've used this method a lot and hod no problems

if it's doing multiple letters of sticking of it's own accord take the key off it really is worth taking it to bits to clean. i've used this link (!http://www.thetechzone.com/?m=show&id=431&page=1!) before for desktops and laptops. if you hold down your space bar you should be able to pop just the n key off

Turns out there was a big wad of dust wrapped around the underside. Got it ought though. I'll keep that in mind for future crumbiness. Thanks.

I am so sorry, sweetie. I used compressed air to clean my keyboard, much the same as the "hoover" method, it helps blow debris out of the keys.
