He chose well with this one. He watched her rise. She was shaking with fear but her eyes had moved quickly to his and he knew, this one would do something. Her eyes flew about the warehouse searching for something, anything she could use. She’d found it, grabbed it, hacked it, swung, came to his rescue. That was the first time. She’s been saving him ever since. Never again with so grand a gesture. Just in a hint of a smile, a laugh, a glance, a hand that fit in his. He watched her rise until the day she fell.

I think this is my favourite of the three drabbles. Love the way you've tied it all in so neatly with Rose and then circled it back around to link with Doomsday. Very cleverly done - and a difficult feat in a drabble!

Oh, it's definitely my favorite, too. The other two were written as requests. One person wanted a how he was coping in the aftermath and then someone else wanted a happy ending. But this one was my original idea and one that I wanted to express just so, the line between Rose and Doomsday. Thank you.
