Fic Update

Gosh, when the writer's block goes away, it goes away in style! I am currently 704 words into chapter 24 of Hunger Moon.

I've also written 974 words on something I'm tentatively calling Innocent as Sin.

I'm working on the rewrite of the next chapter of Just Another Shop Girl which got shoved to the side a bit with the holidays and then the flooding.

And I'm working on a scenario for a birthday present, this one's a full ficlet, not just a drabble or double drabble.

Oh, and then there's Aftermath which is challenging the hell out of me. Which it's supposed to do. The lovely jeprdyfrndly challenged me to write an entire one shot in drabble format. Every paragraph has to be a perfect drabble, exactly 100 words. It has to have at least 3000 words, but can be more. And it must deal with Rose's feelings during and after Girl in the Fireplace. And it can't have any smut in it, but a kiss is okay if I so choose. Demanding little thing, isn't she? Fortunately she gave me a month to write it in. It's currently at 1600 words and I have three weeks left in my month. *grins wryly* I think I'm gonna make it.

(Seriously, how ridiculous is it that it took me 5 months to write 8 chapters??? O_O *makes a very sad emo face of which the following smiley can only convey a very small portion of the true depth of sadness and emoness* :( ;) )

*grins* Well, you didn't exactly have a functional computer during some of that time. If I had to write by hand (or in Works) I think I'd go insane. For one think my pen is in no way fast enough to keep up with my brain, whereas my fingers can type 70 wpm with relatively few errors.

Victoria is of the opinion that Rose should not forgive the Doctor enough to give him smut after Girl in the Fireplace, hence the no smut qualification. Since it's a gift for her, I'm letting her have her way.

Ahhh, that makes sense, then. *nods* You'll just have to add extra smut in all the other projects, you know, so things will even out. *nods more, looking thoughtful* :P ;)

Oh, I tell you, I thought I was going to spring a sprocket trying to use poor ol' Works while my computer was down! o_O I mean, it tries hard and all that but when you're used to Word, that thing was torture! O_O And I used to only write by hand because I didn't have a computer for so long but now I'm thoroughly spoiled to it. *blush* Well, that all makes me feel a bit better, thanks! :D
