I know how hard you worked, still I envy you. My friend has a giant vegetable garden. There are too many animals where I live, we lose all our tomatoes and so many flowers. You have me thinking now that I should call her and find out when I'm to go over to work. One year we had so many tomatoes we also roasted a lot in merlot and basil and made the most marvelous sauce.
Yes, most of them are heirloom plants. I couldn't tell you which ones other than Brandywine, Costoluto Genovese (or something like that), and Speckled Roman (which are actually striped, I don't get it). I have six different types only one of which was not heirloom.
Hehe, I'm moving to a house with a backyard in desperate need of landscaping and I was considering turning a large part of it into a food garden. I see a lot of your last weekend in my future.
