16 Random Things Meme

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged.
1. My favorite color changes on a whim. At the moment it's red.
2. My mind does not work like other people's minds, tending to make intuitive and usually correct leaps. In the real world this tends to disconcert people rather strongly, especially the "show how you know" types.
3. I don't have any pets. I have a good relationship with the neighborhood cats though. They wander through my veggie garden and let me pet them. That's good enough for me.
4. I hate housework and prefer yardwork. My husband is the opposite so that works out pretty well most of the time.
5. I want to be a published novelist. Preferrably in the genres of romance and/or science fiction.
6. I have had a subscription to Discover magazine for 20 years.
7. I love science but I pretty much hate any math that has a name other than math, like algebra, geometry, trigonmetry and calculus.
8. I am an excellent swimmer and prefer it to any other form of exercise.
9. I still go rollerskating at the local skating rink.
10. My car is TARDIS blue and has a personalized license plate that reads TARDISY, because it feels like the car is bigger on the inside than the outside.
11. It has been 20 years since I've been in a car accident. That one wasn't my fault.
12. My favorite food is mashed potatoes from scratch with real butter, salt and pepper, but I don't eat it often.
13. I have postprandial hyperinsulinemia, which basically means I don't process carbohydrates effectively and never eat them without protein to balance a reaction.
14. I had a complete hysterectomy when I was 33 to save my life. I don't regret losing those bits at all. There is a lot of freedom in it.
15. Disneyland is my favorite vacation spot. I prefer going there without my children!
16. I try to see the best in people but realize that there are a few that are just plain stinkers, not happy unless they are trying to make you unhappy. I enjoy slathering on the kindness with this sort of person. It drives them absolutely insane.

That's such an awesome idea! :D I hadn't heard of postprandial hyperinsulinemia before now but it sounds like it's a kissing cousin to my Type 2 diabetes, though hopefully it's a lot more manageable! I know on my part that it can suck to have to always be careful of what and how you eat. :S But it could always be worse, I suppose! ;)
16 is so true. There's really no better way to drive that type of person nutty than by being kind to them! ;) *hugs* ♥!
