I'm taking a break from writing as I clearly can't write a damn thing anymore.

I felt like that for a while. It finally took going in a completely different direction to get me writing again. I realized I wasn't being inspired by my WIPs and was just feeling pressured to finish them. So I set them aside and started writing down anything I could, beginnings of stories and anything else that inspired me. One grew up, and it's spawning another.

Just take the pressure off yourself. No one's gonna die from an unfinished story. Sit back, and, when the stories start building up in your head again, write down what you can without worrying about finishing them. One will eventually start to talk to you.

honorh is absolutely right. Take a break, put everything aside, leave the pressure of behind you. When the time is right, your muse will find you.

*hugs you* Aw, hon, it's definitely time for a break when you're trying to force the muses to work and they just dig their heels in and refuse. :( It's SO frustrating when you want to write but it just won't work. :(

Giving yourself permission to take a break often will be the best thing to spark your muses once more, at least in my experience. As soon as your batteries recharge, I have no doubt that you'll be back as awesome as ever! *one more hug for the road* ♥♥♥

*huggles* I think everyone's already said "take a break" but really, sometimes that's all you can do. Step back from the things that are driving you mad and, if the writing is feeling like a job, just let it go for awhile.

If you want to talk, I know what it's like to move from Inspiration Avenue to Writer's Block, so please feel free. If all else fails, I can bring a casserole for my new neighbor here. We do NOT have to stay in this place, I promise.
