Well...writing again

I wrote something last night for the latest challenge at
then_theres_us. I really would like to know why everything that comes out of my head lately is so weird. Anyway, I let it set overnight and looked at it again today, changed a few words, decided it was weird in a good way (I like it anyway) and sent it off to be beta'd. It's a bit visual as well, a bit of a story...poem...thing. Without rhyming. Or scanning. Narrative maybe. Or possibly just a very short story with a bit of odd formatting in places.
I am also hoping to finish up the next chapter of You're What? tonight or tomorrow. It was half finished when I got sick in the middle of their wedding. I am setting a goal for myself that I have to write at least 500 words on it before I start marathoning The X-Files again. I am mid-season four. I am shocked at how many people I recognize from pre-before they were in recognizable roles that made them household names or at least people you recognize from shows that were household names. Just in the last few days I've seen Lucy Liu pre-Ally McBeal and that white, baldish guy who played that jerky doctor on ER who gets his arm cut off by a helicoptor blade and they sew it back on (on ER) and that really cute Asian guy who went on to play...really cute Asian guys in many other things, and the man who plays the general on Stargate as Scully's dad. Very small world. I thought it was just British tv that was like that.

Date: 2012-04-14 08:35 pm (UTC)Is the asian guy John Cho, the guy who plays Sulu in the Star Trek reboot? He's like on all the shows I liked before but never noticed until I rewatched them. I was surprised to see him on an early episode of Charmed.
