Nine!muse is conspicuoulsy absent at present. I think I may have smutted him out in Shredded. I'm sure he'll be back. He always comes back with his...tail between his legs. I do have one line around which to wrap the next chapter of You're What? with if Nine!muse does decide to come back. I hope so. I'd hate to think he's run off to wherever it is that alt!Nine muse has hidden himself in.
Right now Ten!muse seems to be in full flair. Well, Ten!Muse and Ten2!muse anyhow. Vortex has about 300 words on the next chapter, but Zeppelins has 1648, so it's at the halfway mark. No, that does not mean stay up all night hitting the refresh key (you know who you are!). It won't be done tonight. There is a vague possibility it will be done tomorrow night but I'm thinking more along the lines of the evening of the 1st Pacific Time.
The Jack Harkness/Claire Bennett fic that I am not writing is now up to 1200 words long. I'm also not talking about it. *kicks plot bunny*
I'm not doing anything for the holiday. I'm sick of holiday stuff after a week of it. We're just staying in and hoping the two feet of snow we'd gotten by Christmas day continues to melt away, and that these intermittent slush showers don't turn back into full-fledged snowfall. We're still on flood watch here from the melting snow, but no longer on storm watch. We're not in the flood plain so we're safe, but if we have any intention of going to town any time soon we don't want the river to flood. Fortunately we don't have to go anywhere until Tuesday next.
I am happy with what I got for Christmas. I got Torchwood S2 from my in-laws and money from my folks. And of course, what DH gave me, silly girl that I am, I am thrilled with all the dolls. *ahem* I mean action figures. I have discovered that you can make the season one Rose figure dance with the Nine figure without it looking like she's kneeing him in the groin. If you've not seen the S1 Rose doll, her knees are permanently bent in a defensive posture. It just takes a little creativity to make it look natural for them to be dancing. The season two Rose doll has no problems dancing with Ten and as a matter of fact can get close enough to make it look like he's kissing her forehead.
And Donna sits quite well on K-9's back, although she is demanding a Sawyer (from Lost) doll to play with. I told her I might consider getting her Jack or Mickey since Sawyer costs $50 and I don't have space for his raft, and I think he's a jerk, even if he's cute. She retaliated with if she can't have Sawyer then I have to get her both Jack and Mickey. Or write some more trio crack for her to star in. Yeah, it's more likely she'll get Jack and Mickey then that I'll find the muse responsible for That Night on Betazorn 9 again.
Why, yes, you should be slightly worried that the Donna doll is talking to me. At least as much as you should be that all my fictional characters talk to me... But not that much. Creative minds are, after all, quite different from normal ones...
The TARDIS money bank was supposed to have Nine and Rose on the inside when you open the doors. I specifically ordered that one. It had both listed as available and I ordered the one with the picture of Nine/Rose. Of course they still sent the one of Ten/Martha. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of shipping it back and getting the right one. I like Martha well enough. Think she's great when she's not mooning over Ten. Will even get a doll of her eventually. But I wanted Nine/Rose. *sigh* Still, it makes the dematerialization noise when you close the doors and the little light flashes on and off, so I'm still quite pleased.
You see this thing that I'm doing right here? That would be called procrastination. Okay, back to Zeppelins.

Date: 2008-12-31 05:25 am (UTC)Honestly, I don't think I'm old enough to hear the stories about what they're all up to while I'm gone... *giggles madly*
You know, I wondered how you'd managed to get the Nine/Rose money bank when all the ones I've seen were Ten/Martha, even the ones that had Nine/Rose up as the picture (but reading the reviews proved that it was Ten/Martha that was sent). But as long as you're happy with it, that's the important thing! :D I absolutely adore my TARDIS with the lights and sounds (and I probably sit here wasting more time turning it on and spinning it around than a grown woman should admit to, lol! ;) )!
I completely agree about Martha, btw. I really enjoyed her and thought it was a shame she ended up being reduced to making puppy dog eyes at Ten during too much of s3. :( Here's to kick-butt female characters! :D
(I'm still trying not to giggle over the fact that s1 Rose has to be carefully persuaded not to knee Nine where it counts when they dance, lol!) ♥!
ETA: Because you shouldn't try to talk to somebody in the room with you while you're writing a comment because you make odd typos... :P ;)

Date: 2009-01-01 09:42 am (UTC)I was really hoping S1 Rose's legs were bendy, not just stuck in a bent position. You can't do very much with her positionwise because of it. I was hoping she could go for a piggy back ride on Nine or something, but her legs don't spread that far apart and trying to perch her on Nine's shoulders makes them both fall down. She can sit on K-9 though even better than Donna. *sighs* I should have better things to do with my time than position action figures...and then talk about it. *snorts*

Date: 2008-12-31 07:12 am (UTC)No action figures for me yet, but I am planning on building a life-sized TARDIS in 2009. And hopefully figure out a way to make the light blink and have the dematerialization sound too.

Date: 2008-12-31 11:24 am (UTC)Sometime in January I am getting my Christmas present; the series 4 set of 12 that each figure comes with a piece for a byo vespaform. Okay, so technically my room mate and I share the toys, but... *grabby hands*
To keep ourselves sane (yes I know it's debatable), we even have taken to creating little scenes with the figures next to the computer. We have so many 10th Doctors, that the last scene Jennifer did was one where the 5th Doctor messed up his sonic screwdriver and ended up with 5 slightly different versions of the 10th.
The last scene I did was before we got the VOTD set. Now you would think that that Sonic Screwdriver would be in every version of the Doctor (at least the ones where he is in a suit) but sadly you would be wrong. So shortly after we got our first Doctor with a screwdriver, we lost the little bugger. So the poor doctor has been having to make do all this time, until the 5th Doctor arrived. Jennifer stole his screwdriver and immediately gave it to the 10th. So the next day, I set up a scene on top of the computer where 5 was standing with hand extended, demanding the screwdriver back. 10 was holding him off with the aforementioned screwdriver, obviously trying to think of a way to escape. Jennifer never saw my carefully set scene, because while we were gone, the 10th Doctor zapped the 5th with some setting on the screwdriver and knocked him off the computer and under a chair. We had to hunt him down. 8[
*um...running away now before I take up any more of your lovely journal space.*
BUT, hurray for dollies!!!!!

I have to confess, I can't help but chuckle imagining everybody's expression while you were trying to figure out what dastardly fate had befallen poor Five (while Ten was no doubt looking supremely innocent ;) )! :D
Anyway, just wanted to say hi! ;) *high fives fellow action figure scene setter* ;) ♥!

Date: 2008-12-31 04:09 pm (UTC)My other half, who by the way I love dearly, is a bit disparaging of my small collection of miniature 'friends'. He doesn't understand my obsession with all things Who. However he did buy me the Story Book, 2009 Annual and the giant Make it yourself Dalek model which now has pride of place on my musicroom wall so I suppose he has vindicated himself. *kisses his bald head*
