Stupid Plot Bunny!

amberfocusYou know that stupid plot bunny that bit me a few weeks ago? The one that came totally out of left field and bit me on the ankle and I had to kick it hard to send it away because I so did not want to stumble into another fandom and start writing there? Especially one that's horribly complicated? The Jack Harkness/Claire Bennett, Torchwood/Heroes crossover fic that I wasn't going to write? Yeah, that one. It's got over 1000 words written on it. It comes in fits and starts, has been straggling in a paragraph or so at a time now. And...well...it actually seems to be...good. I'm almost afraid of what might happen if I chose to focus on it.
It's from Jack's point of view. So far, anyway. I know Jack inside and out, know how to write him backwards and forwards. I have a handle on Claire I think, or how I think she'd be at 156 years old. Hardened, yet still a bit naive. Good with a gun. Calculating, calm, and cool, but with a surprising ability to laugh at herself. And with a heart, that once you get to it, is fiercely loyal and protective. Yes, I've been thinking about it far too much for a fic I'm supposedly not going to write. *growls*
