Another Fic Update

I just finished ch. 26 of Zeppelins and sent it off to Amy for beta and I think other than some proofing it won't need any changing so I'll post it here some time tomorrow.  I am sleeping in then so no early morning updates from me even if she does get it back to me quickly.  The power cord on my laptop sparked out on me so we had to go and get a new one tonight, which means I didn't get a chance to update Just Another Shop Girl.  I'll likely do that some time tomorrow as well.  I'm just too tired to do it now and wanted to get Zeppelins finished as it was more of a priority.  I'll be posting my ficathon fic here tomorrow as well.  So there will be stuff to read just not yet. *smiles*

wahoo! nice to see i have some fic coming my way! i think most of my flist will be quiet this month due to the auction

and by the way can you put an electric fence around jack's history form jack's path and better with you? i'm feeling a strong urge to kidnap it!

actually i think i'm more likely to be jumping the fence! my auction fic is taking me back in time - drunken jack who's newly immortal wants to be verbal about his past!
i'm trying to stop him, honest! even if it is only because i know he'll want to swear in a family fic

side note: how do ypu make something like "oh God" (like when confronted by daleks) not offensive to religious groups? jack wants to swear!

Well, I don't do religious swears in any of my fic, and this is how I get around it. If it's the Doctor I say, "Oh, Rassilon," for the ancient Gallifreyan leader. Or if it's during smut I'll say something along the line of "He cries out to a God he doesn't believe in," or something along those lines. If it's Rose I tend to do the trail off of "Oh, my..." Which is kind of hard since Rose's catch phrase is practically "Oh, my God." I'll even do, "Oh, my gosh," sometimes if I'm writing a lower rating fic. People let me get away with it because they know by now I don't do religious swears. I also don't use the harder regular swear words. I'll use damn and hell but that's it. And again if it's a fic with a lesser rating I'll simply say he swore marvelously, profusely, inventively and in ways that made her wonder if some of the things he was suggesting were even anamtomically possible, or something along those lines. Just be inventive.

i think i'm going to drive a few people crazy by the time i've finished this! still, hopefully most of you can put up with me!
