I definitely agree about "JE" and "Stolen Earth". That would have been a perfect time for a new Doctor, including giving Rose human 10 while 11 left with Donna. The visual difference would have made the scene much easier to take, I believe (just as many FF made the human Doc 9 to contrast with Time Lord 10). Plus, I was so mad about the faux regeneration - to me it was a major, major and unnecessary cop-out, akin to the endless American cop shows that do the "so and so is quitting/being disciplined/finding themselves/going on a spiritual retreat/taking up full-time country dancing" storylines when the actor is clearly returning. (Yes, that's my teeth grinding.)
