Hunger Moon seems to be handily beating the other fics in the poll by a landslide. At least it is now that I've taken away the ability to vote for more than one story! Though I think it was leading in the first poll, too, it's much further ahead now. I am in the process of rereading it now. I honestly haven't even looked at it since March when I posted the last update (though I have reread Wolf Moon). I have my outline, of course, but that doesn't really fill in the blanks at all. It's sort of like visiting an old friend. A lot of stuff is familiar and some of it is, oh, I'd forgotten about that!
So I think this will be the major fic I will work on finishing. I'm not saying I won't maybe do a bit on the others, because I know I'll have to when I get blocked on this one on occasion, but most of the time I will focus on Hunger Moon until it's done. I am almost done with the last chapter of Another Day, Another Elephant, and then I have to finish This Alien of London, which is my Time in Flux ficathon fic, before I seriously get started, but I'm only on chapter eight of my reread so that should time out just about right. I really do need to write Chissel's ficlet, too. It's the last one owed for Support Stacie bidding and I'd like to get it done before the next auction. She wants me to further explore the idea I brought up in Elephant of the TARDIS not letting the Doctor barge into Rose's room if she's naked (unless she wants him to). It's percolating in the back of my brain. Not sure if that'll be Nine or Ten. We'll see how it goes.
I'm debating on whether or not to sign up for the September auction. All of the kids' homeschooling books and supplies came this week and to say I am a bit overwhelmed with how much more there is for fourth grade than third grade is an understatement. My son's supplies and books take up two and a half shelves on our rather large bookcase. My daughter's take up one, except for her science supplies which are still in their box because they sent us the sixth grade curriculum instead of the eight grade curriculum. *sighs* Common sense dictates grade 8 follows grade 7, but oh, well. Hopefully we'll get it before the school year starts on the September 8th, or else we'll be playing catchup with science all year.
I think I'll wait until the week before to make that decision. Or else just limit myself to writing the 2500 to 5000 word fic and not let myself put up a 10,000 word fic as an offer to increase bidding. Don't think I'll get another $400 bid, anyway. Wiggie went a bit insane last time. It is a good cause and I'd like to support it. If that means buying a fic this time instead of writing one, I may just go that route. We'll see how things shake out with homeschool prep.
