Open Office Writer apparently has two methods to view word count: Properties>Statistics, and Tools>Word Count. I tried to find a quick key command for Word Count, but it doesn't seem to be something built in.
I wanted to let you know that I'm still working my way through Zeppelins (I've almost finished reading it)-- this novel is absolutely brilliant, beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing your writing.
