I just finished reading a post JE fic that is unlike any I have seen so far and it is very hard to describe exactly how it made me feel but it was a really good fic.  Writing was good and spelling was good on top of the story being good, too.  I don't know, it just kind of pulls you in rather relentlessly and lets you out again at the end with a sigh.  I thought it was just beautiful.  It's well worth the read.

It's called The Certainty of Life by Talargain and you can find it here at Teaspoon:  http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=23972

Yummy

Thanks so much for this recommendation. So many of these post JE fics are sappy/silly, but this was "real" and full of feeling and love. Also, it was refreshing to read a story without obvious spelling errors to wince over!

*Hugs*

Oh, I know. There's this one thing I'm following right now that is rather brilliant, but the person writing it so obviously doesn't have a beta and the spelling mistakes and typos are getting to the point where I'm thinking of abandoning it because it's gotten so bad. Something supposedly written by the Doctor should not have that many errors. He's supposed to be brilliant and it just makes it a break in character for me if he can't spell, you know? I've thought of mentioning it in a private message but the one time I left a supportive comment I thought his answer was quite arrogant and rude, and those types don't take concrit well, so not sure I care enough anymore to try to make it better for the guy or me as a reader. Well, that was a bit of a tangent, but I know what you mean.
