Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] azriona

I find the results of this a little suspect. Every time I put in one of the heavy, plotty fics like Leap of Faith or Hunger Moon (a non smut chapter) it said I write like Dan Brown, which he is a thrilller writer so it makes sense.

I write like
Dan Brown

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

A Sky Without Zeppelins got me Ray Bradbury and Third Time's the Charm and Somewhere Nice got me James Joyce. Oh, and anything explicit got me Margaret Atwood, (I think they only had one person for that, because I put in several differently written smuts and came up with her every time and I was sure I'd get someone flakier).

So I'll just go with that I write like me.

This was the story I put in. I can't see any Stephen King in that.

I enjoyed this "test" immensely, though, as you said, the results are a little suspect. I got everything from James Joyce to Chuck Palahniuk ("Fight Club") and then Stephen King for a humor FF about some people resistant to the idea of working with a shrink.

But the real reason I am here: do you mind if I pimp this link/post elsewhere?

... I got Dan Brown no matter what I put in there, even smut. *pout*

That's cool! I for some reason ended up with J. K. Rowling which I was incredibly pleased with :D

I'm starting to think it's random. I keep seeing people's results and going no way.

It's just a meme, it isn't mine, so use as you please.

You so do not write like Dan Brown. Not even.

*laughs* I was wondering if she was in there.

Yeah it seemed no matter what I ended up with her...except for once I put in a fic with Nine, Rose and Jack and ended up with Stephen King :P

I hope not. I tried to read Angels and Demons once a few years ago and got maybe 40 pages in before I had to stop. I didn't like his writing at all, though I can't remember specifically why.

Interesting, I only got her when I put in Harry Potter fic! I just figured it was looking for "Sirius" and "Remus"

....I wonder if I go and put a sonnet in if I'll get Shakesphere....

Heh, weird. I put in a bunch of different fandoms and kept getting her :P

I kept getting Dan Brown for "If I could turn..." but different authors for "Broken", including Douglas Adams and H.P. Lovecraft. Although I wonder why the first two chapters are Douglas Adams... On the other hand, why do I complain? He's the only author I've seen so far who actually wrote some Doctor Who episodes...

And then I got curious. Apparently the shorter the chapters are the more random the results you get, because I ended up with J.D. Salinger (for fluff??), James Joyce (I have to rewrite that), Mark Twain (for something that was partly RTD), Raymond Chandler, Harry Harriman (and after finding out what he wrote I have to rewrite that chapter as well)...

I have my doubts about this too ... I got Chuck Palahniuk, Charles Dickens, Douglas Adams and Ian Fleming. Weird.
