Stubborn Ending

You know that fic I was working on a while back when I was depressed and had writer's block and thought that everything coming out of my laptop was complete crap?  The one where Ten2 was wearing red cowboy boots and a cowboy hat and nothing else and Rose nicked the hat?  Oh, well, some of you might not because it was in a locked post, but anyway...

I just read it to my husband last night and he about fell off the bed laughing so hard.  In a good way.  So umm...maybe not crap after all.  I suppose I shouldn't try to judge my own writing when I am sick and hate the world.  That never ends well.  Speaking of endings...

I've got it nearly finished now.  My only problem is coming up with an ending.  It's crack!smut so it has to be appropriate to that genre.  But I just can't think of how to end it and I hate that.  Why is funny so much harder to write than steamy?  I need a punchline.

*sighs and wanders off to the grocery store*

I wish I could offer some kind of advice but given I haven't done any creative writing in 17 years I doubt I'd be very helpful. Though I will say this, Good comedy is hard. And even the funniest stories to some, others won't like at all. I must say, that I am not a huge fan of crack fics. Most authors throw logic so far out the window to the point they make my head hurt. Still, i do wish you the best of luck with your work and that you find the propper ending to your story.

Oh and from the comedian I saw over the weekend, the word horse and gentlemen in Spanish is apparently too similar...

She was trying to organise horseback riding for herself and a friend in a trip to a Spanish speaking country and apparently asked for some gentlemen to ride...

Probably won't work in this situation but making still making me lol.
