Oh, I like this take much better. You know, this episode didn't bother me that much when I first saw it. I wasn't really much of a die-hard shipper back then. The Doctor leaving Rose seemingly stranded was the hardest part for me. I'm really glad that you made it her decision and not the Doctor's.
I think qtrhorserider has an interesting take on this; Reinette was always the mistress, always second, and felt comfortable in that position.
