I have a little missing scene fic in the same vein as this but I've held off posting it fearing the wrath of fandom. ;-)
I've never agreed that the Doctor abandoned Rose (and Mickey). She would have told him to go, IMHO. Is this not the girl who told him to fire a missile at her?
