DW Season Five and Fic Update

A little spoilery, just some comments on the trailers, but cutting anyway.

Well, the first trailer may have made me go WTH?  But the second and third trailers that I've seen for the new season of Doctor Who are actually starting to get me really excited and think that it's going to be fun and interesting and a good old romp through time and space.  Although there was one villain that I am so sick of seeing, can they not do one season without the bloody Daleks? *sighs*  Not that I've ever liked Daleks in the past.  They weren't even scary until they learned how to fly, but I digress.  With my ship safe in Pete's world where they can never, never, never be touched by the Moff, I am looking forward to season 5 after seeing these.  I think Matt Smith seems to have a firm grasp on the role from the bits I am able to see.  And the Doctor looks freakin' happy for a change.  No more Emo!Doctor would be such a pleasant change.  Please live up to my expectations, Doctor Who!


And if you were lurking around on the off chance you thought I might post a new chapter of LoF tonight, I'm not.  I'll post one tomorrow if I get the final changes back approved from both betas, but definitely not tonight.  I am looking forward to the weekend.  Two days to write, no responsibilities other than making sure my kids are fed and watered.  Nice chunks of time.  And hopefully I'll find where my Jonathon/Rose muse wandered off to.  HonorH said they were probably in bed somewhere, which I had to admit seemed extremely likely, but I've looked, and nope. *sighs*

OK. I'm willing to give Eleven a go if you PROMISE that you'll forever keep Nine/Rose, Ten/Rose, and/or TenII/Rose safe, hot & sexy!

I think that if you ever went over to the dark side (i.e., writing Eleven/Amy) instead, I would surely shrivel up and blow away to another fandom. Really.

I can't even comtemplate writing Eleven/Amy or Eleven and Amy without the / before seeing their chemistry together. I'm not sure I can even imagine them catching my attention in a romantic way, but even if they did, and I could write it, it would never be my primary focus.

I love Rose/Doctor far too much.

im also looking forward to easter and dr who, excited to see what happens next. i remember seeing zepplins and think, please let there be a rose insirt somewhere. having the doctor and new companion running into rose and tenII would be funny to see.

now about john/rose problem, ever thought of looking in the closet? they have been known to be the adventurous sort lol. put out candles and oil, you will probally find them real quick

I know I'm gonna sound like a total fan girl here but did you know that Billie Piper worked with Matt Smith in Season 1 of Secret Diary of a Call Girl? it was just for episode Six. And later when she did an Interview with Johnathan Ross, she was asked to compare the two actors. Now I'm Paraphrasing a bit when Billie was asked who was the better kisser and she said David was a much better kisser and they had such long lingering passion together. I sometimes doubt if they'll ever try to go the romance route again or not with the Doctor because that was never really was about. I think because the doctor was so damaged in the beginning it opened up an avenue that was not there before the time war in the Doctor's mind. I think the events at the End of Time, helped to give him the emotional closure he needed in regards to the time war and Rose that he didn't fully have before so we get a more chipper doctor. Though with Moffat writing the scripts we'll have our darker moments I'm sure.

Yes, I saw him in that with her, as well as in Shadows of the North and Rubies in the Smoke, the two Sally Lockhard Mysteries they did together. I think he's a very good actor and may adapt very well to the role of the Doctor. If the clips are anything to go by, he has. And yeah, I saw the interview as well. Of course she said David, though! I mean, duh. *laughs*

OOOOH at first I was disappointed when you said no posting today...but then I realized you meant YESTERDAY! Yea! I'm at work all weekend and can't wait for LOF to get me thorough the day1 Tomorrow's my last work day for 3 days.... that's good.

May I ask where you were able to see the promos? I can't access anything on bbc.co.uk/doctorwho and I used to find everything on David-tennant.com but of course that doesn't work anymore. Any info would be apprecaited.
