No, not at all actually. I don't drink alcohol. It gives me a headache, the sweats, and violent stomach cramps. Even just a couple sips. My body treats it like an allergin so I avoid it.
Honestly, I needed to deal with the dangling bit of plot that was the guy who wasn't killed by the spheres. I needed something freaky enough that a Torchwood trained doctor like Katie would scream over. I needed the discovery of a possible weapon that would help the Earth. I put it all together and figured it could hide in the body of a human. Then I figured no, it shouldn't even be a real human at all, the outer shell just looked like a human. And it was better for it to be constructed out of the actual body and not metal or something like that because in this day and age, a huge metal thing inside someone would draw attention anywhere there were metal detectors, but if it was something that could pass for bone it wouldn't be a problem. So from there it was just the point of compacting it down into something usefully shaped. And I like the word dodecahedron which has been playing in my head for a couple weeks now. So it all just coalesced together like that. Plus there was a lot of sugar involved.
Ha! Ask a question about my creative thought process, get a crazy answer, hmm?
