She was more miffed than hurt by him. She knows he doesn't think that but he can't seem to stop himself from saying things like that and this is how she shows her disapproval. Since it's not a hurt/comfort fic, but an adventure fic, I can't waste time having her get all maudlin and him start beating himself up in his head. So irritation and annoyance are the order of the day. This version of Rose is quite fiesty so no crumpling allowed.
