I'm in the middle of writing a giant meta about COE, but its going to take a few days because I have to keep deleting hysterical vitriol when I'm aiming for a slightly more balanced and considered tone.
Your plotting worked perfectly because until the last chapter I was convinced that somehow James would return, and I can't remember exactly what changed my mind, but I was so glad that things worked out with his return to the living.
Re: the time jump, I thought I'd picked up a few hints that there would be a gap of 6 months, I thought I'd ask ;) It stops me obsessing over it.
Oh... a six month jump means poor Rose and Jonathon have to put up with 6 months of Renee... *hugs them*. Still, I'm sure that if one shots happened of conflict between Rose and Donna against Reinette over her continued attempts to snag Jonathon it would be highly amusing.
As always looking forward to more, even if it brings the chapter count periously close to the end of the story. Happy plotting, writing et. al. and hope the life stuff eases up on you too.
