One of my biggest problems with JE was that there was no closure between Jack and Rose. So this little scene between them helps so much.
As for Mickey, it's my personal canon that Mickey got over Rose when he stayed in Pete's world the first time and then after DD he and Rose were just best mates. But either way, I'm glad he got to say some of those things he needed to say. Rose did treat him terribly and he never let her down. He deserves a chance at his own happiness.
