Welcome to the World
Jan. 8th, 2011 12:20 pmThis morning at 12:45 a.m. and 12:51 a.m. Victoria (aka
jeprdyfrndly) gave birth to identical twin girls, Angela Lily Lyton, 5 pounds 6 ounces, and 17.5 inches long and Krystina Iris Lyton, 5 pounds 4 ounces, and 17 inches long. They kept with Victoria's family tradition of naming female twins with first names ending in A and Peter's family tradition of all females having a middle name that is a flower. She was able to deliver naturally and both babies are breathing on their own, despite being born at just over 35 weeks gestation.
I can't see them yet because of the bronchitis, but Peter texted me a photo and they are the cutest things. They have lots of blonde hair and dark blue eyes (which will likely change to green as they get older since both Victoria and Peter have green eyes).
They are worried about jaundice and are keeping Angie and Krysti in the neonatal intensive care unit for a few days to be on the safe side.
