For those of you who have been waiting for an update, my round of phone tag with the scheduling nurse finely came to a conclusion two bloody weeks after I first saw the doctor and he said the nurse would schedule me within two days. The upshot of which is that I will be having surgery on my knee on December 7nth. I was really hoping to get it done this year because we change insurance at the start of the year, so I'm glad about that.
Chris leaves on the 8th so of course I will have to take the kids and move in with Mom for a week, possibly longer. She will take over the homeschooling while my mind is addled with the pain meds so that we don't have to miss any days, but since we only have fourteen days we have to get in during the month, we can do them during Christmas break time if necessary.
Also, we took Tobias back to the doctor's office yesterday and they took another set of x-rays and the fracture is clearly visible now. It's about an inch and a half long. So he's going to have to wear the half cast for the next month or so, but he doesn't have to have a full cast. Which is good because it can come off for showers. We also have some physical therapy range of motion exercises he has to do and he's eager to do them because he can take the cast off during that time, too. So he won't be able to do dance class until January, unfortunately, but he'll go right back in once the Doctor says he can. I am so glad we decided not to do the Nutcracker this year.
I'm sorry I've been so crap about answering comments, or leaving them for that matter. I appreciate them all, I really do. I've had a lot of high pain days and it leaves my energy levels pretty low. When I am on the computer I'm trying to focus on the fics and that leaves less energy to correspond. I miss it and all of you and I hope I will have the energy for it again after the surgery and the healing time have passed. Amy, I miss you like crazy, but I don't have the energy to be on chat right now. *hugs*
Also, my icon is a lie. All I want for Christmas is Nine and a good knee.
