Britpick Question

How long does it take to drive from London to Scotland approximately?  Is it something that can easily be done in one day?  Or would it take longer than that?  Jonathon's going to take Rose to Scotland on the anniversary of the death of his family to visit the graveyard where they are interred.  Don't worry, there really will be gravestones there with the correct names and dates.  But if it's more than a day trip then that will change whether I have them go during the school year or at the start of the summer.

So, I got on a real roll and finished ch. 30 of Zeppelins last night and I've got it back from Amy.  Are there enough people around tonight to read it or should I just wait and post it tomorrow when everyone's hungover?

A/N:  Rose reasserts her independence a bit with Jonathon.  After she goes home, Jonathon has another strange dream and thinks about everything he has lost and the bits and pieces of his "past" that he can remember.  Recognizable dialog is from The End of the World.

Rose wakes in the snug cocoon that is a combination of Jonathon’s arms and his duvet. Warmth radiates from her body and she is more content than she can remember being at any time in her life before meeting him. She edges away from him just enough to give herself room to stretch. As her body moves against his he stirs, his big brown eyes blink slowly open.
