Family Reunion

We're heading out to Camano Island today for a family reunion for MIL's side of the family.  I'm taking the laptop along on the car ride to get some writing done.  I hope that the weather clears up.  It's raining here, but we're in the mountains and a couple of hours away from our destination so hopefully it's not raining there.  It's a picnic and I made my crockpot pork burrito meat overnight.  What I really love about the new car is that we can plug stuff in as it has an outlet, so then we just do that, stick it in the trunk and keep it on it's warming cycle until we get there and not have to worry about food poisoning or whatnot or needing a place to warm it up when we get there.

Hopefully the kids won't fight in the car.  They'll have the portable DVD player and their game machines so maybe that'll keep them entertained.  Camp starts tomorrow and it can't come too soon the way Tobias has been behaving this week.  We all need the break from each other.  Hopefully with the weather shift they won't get sick there, though.  It's on a different island, but not quite as far away as the one we're going to today.
