The only reason I'm asking, mind you, is because of the inch of snow currently taking up residence in my yard.  I mean, I thought it was spring.  I have three daffodils and two hyacinths in bloom and oh, I don't know, the little thingy I hang on the wall that tells the date claims it's been spring for almost a month now, but since this is the second snowfall of April (the last being eight inches two Saturdays ago), I just thought I'd ask.

I think I'm just a little bit tired of winter, since we've had snow since mid-October.  Now usually we don't see snow before the last ten days of December, or around Thanksgiving in a bad year, and it's rarely around past the end of February, though it's been known to fall as late as March 13th.  So what is up with this year?  I'd say it was living in the foothills but even sea level in our county got hit today.  On the bright side, my AWD in my new car works really well!  LOL

Today was a bit busy.  I edited (hardly seems like work) chapter nine of NotADiva's book and it is getting so good!  Little Miss Diva Author is trying to get her contract back, but I so don't see that happening.  She still hasn't grown up.  Otherwise, I wrote for most of the day, and yes, my lovelies, I finished chapter eight of Hunger Moon and it's off with JeopardyFriendly being beta'd as I type, so it will be up tonight.  I have to admit that this version is better than the one the computer ate for dinner.  Leastwise, I think so.  If it's crap, Jep will tell me, never fear, but I don't think it is.  I'm currently taking a break from Frustration, the story not the state of being, but should finish chapter two of it tonight, so it ought to be up by morning, I think.  Still no smut for Wiggimomsi, though.  Yeah, brain is just not there yet.

Went in after school today to pick up the old car, and it cost $38 less than the estimate, so that was a nice surprise.  It's now sitting at Mom's until either DH comes home and drives it home or I decide to take a chance on the county bus system and take it to town and drive the thing home.  Mom doesn't care how long I leave it there, though and since her driveway is like 1/4 of an acre long and two and a half big cars wide, I'm not terribly worried about it getting in the way there.

Rose had soccer practice today.  It didn't happen to be either snowing, raining, or hailing at the practice field.  It's got it's own little microclimate going on.  I sat in the car with my laptop and wrote while she practiced and Tobias played with some of the other little brothers.  We have three games this weekend.  Yuck.  I don't like games on Sunday, but they are making up for the one that got snowed out on Rose's team.  I'd skip it but I'm on snack duty that day.  Argh.  Got told that today, mind.  Oh, well.  I have to go to Costco tomorrow anyway so it works out.  Have to call MIL yet and see if we can hang out at her house between games Saturday since Tobais' is at 11:30 and Rose's isn't until 3:30.  Usually they aren't so far apart.  Doubt it'll be a problem though.  And she's wireless networked her house now so I can take my computer with if I want.

Not much else going on, other than I have a gazillion comments to answer!  And I will at some point tonight.

It's spring. You just must be too far north. It's all t-shirts and buzzing bee's down here. It's been spring so long the bushes aren't even flowering anymore. ^.^

*evil grin* I'd say I feel your pain, except, no I don't. I'm warm. I'm so glad I moved south for the start of spring, just so I can laugh at my snow bogged friends at home. I'll pay for it later when I die of heat exhaustion in Summer.

"Still no smut for Wiggimomsi, though. Yeah, brain is just not there yet." -- Ahhh you remembered me! Just enough to taunt, but still...you remembered me! Now, once brain gets there, I'm sure you'll be back to your old smut-writing self!!

*Hugs*

So far north I'm almost in Canada, but usually I turn the furnace off on April 1 and don't turn it on again until October. This has been a crazy year for bad weather. I dream of just going out in a long-sleeved sweatshirt but even that's a ways away at this point, methinks.

Well, I think Rose and alt!Nine are going to grab a shag in the bathroom really soon when they should be focusing on the alien threat. Inappropriately timed Story-Appropriate Smut. And I'm still thinking about a drabble porn. *grins*

Don't mind me. I'm out on the porch, basking in the 80 DEGREE WEATHER HERE.

(Actually, I'll be working in the 80 degree kitchen most of today, but still. 80 degrees.)

I lost an entire chapter of an original story once, when the flash drive ate it as I transfered the file from laptop to desktop. I still think the first version was better - I'm glad you think your second was improved.

I'm stuck in a studio apartment where I can't open the windows all the way. *sulk* Darned Minions of Chaos and Destruction who may go out the 5th floor window after birds!

So right now I'll GLADLY share some of the heat in my apartment with you. :D

Besides, spring is a bit like time. It's wibbly wobbly. :)

*looks both ways* *stick out tongue* It was 36 degrees today, but the wind chill factor made it 17. And they played soccer today. So cold even wrapped up in a blanket. I'm still cold. I don't want 80 but 60 would be grand right now.

I'm actually sort of surprised that between the wind chill and snow, the game was still played. I hope the kids were allowed to change shorts for sweats, or at least wear sweats under their shorts.

The snow was at my house. The windchill was at the soccer park, but they didn't have snow there this time. The make up game today was still cold but not a lot of wind and was much nicer. Almost nothing cancels soccer around here, though if I'd known how cold it was there I would have stayed home yesterday.
