A/N:  For Tardismate for her auction bid.  She requested Ten and Rose and her prompt was moonlight.  Set not too long after regeneration.

 

She shimmers as the moonlight caresses her skin in soft tendrils of silver. It reminds him of another time, another place, a different light that made her golden and threatened to take more than he could bear to lose.   He would have given up anything to save her. What was one life in the course of things if it kept Rose Tyler by his side a little while longer? She turns towards him on the blanket and her eyes drift open. Surprise fills her face as she comes more fully awake and remembers what they’ve just done. And she smiles.
