Then she was there. Smiling so hard through her tears. Holding her arms out wide to offer him comfort, solace, joy again. His hearts started beating for the first time in years. She forgave him everything. How long it took to find a way to get her back. How different a man he had become without her there to hold his hand. How he had broken when he’d lost her. She understood it all. She offered herself to him again. He couldn’t help but say yes. He’d never say no to her again. Once again a better man. Her Doctor.
