Improper Use of Telepathy

“If you don’t shag me,” Rose said through clenched teeth, “within the next ten minutes, I will not be held responsible for my actions.”  Her tone made it very clear that she was not kidding in the least.

“Rose,” said the Doctor in his most reasonable of voices, “It’s not my fault the children won’t go to sleep.”

“Technically, it is,” she said glaring at him.  “Superior Time Lord physiology, remember?  They don’t need as much sleep as us poor, paltry humans.”

“Rose.”

“Oh, don’t try to reason with me!” she snapped.  “It has been ten days, Doctor!  Ten days since we’ve had sex.  Ten days.  Going on eleven.  Can’t you give them something to make them pass out?”

“Rose!”

“Yes, Doctor, we’ve established that you know my name,” she said sarcastically.  “You don’t have to start every sentence with it.”

“No, I will not give the children something so they will pass out just so we can have sex,” he said.  “You are being completely ridiculous.”

“Just?  Just!  Don’t even.  If you were in…what do you call it, your Time Lord Pon Farr thingy, it would be a whole other story.  But when it’s my hormones out of whack I’m the one being ridiculous.”

She seized him by the front of his leather jacket, pulled him towards her and planted a wet, sloppy, open-mouthed kiss on him that left him reeling.  Her hand slid into the front of his jeans and gently grasped his sudden erection.

“Mummy?  Daddy?”  A loud knock echoed on their locked bedroom door.  “Can I have a glass of water?”

The Doctor conceded that Rose might have a point.  “Well, a little telepathic suggestion wouldn’t hurt,” he agreed.  With that he opened the door, scooped up his son, got him a glass of water and hypnotized him into sleep.

He hurried back to his wife, only to find their daughter had crawled into bed with her and fallen asleep.  He placed a hand on her temple to make sure that she stayed that way then picked her up and took her back to her own bed.

Just in case, he relocked the bedroom door and turned to his exasperated wife, only to find she was out cold, sound asleep, and snoring.  Sex wasn’t the only thing that had been in short supply for Rose lately.  He sighed and curled his body around her.  He’d give her two hours.

Hmmm, improper yeah, but handy for the ones that have "radar." Argh.

ETA: And I typed that before I even saw the author's notes. ;)

I had to google what Pon Farr means *snorfle*

Lovely story! Just the thing I needed to take me out of my doldrums.

I have no idea what Rose is talking about. None nope nada. Says the person who just moved the sick kid back to her own bed and looked over at the passed out hubby. Groaned and realized she now was coughing and couldnt breathe just like the daughter.

We need to introduce you to the world of Star Trek, dear. The Original Series was at times even more cracktastic than New Who can be. Case in point: Spock's Brain.

Heh. Oh, I'm hopelessly behind in the realm of scifibizniss. I only just started on Firefly a couple of weeks ago *shakeshead*

ROFLOL!!!

Love it, hon!

Not in the least inspired by real life events. At all. Even a little bit.

I'm certain there is a hilarious story behind that. We've all been there, sweetie. Maybe not with kids but with 'other' interruptions.

I remember that. It's a wonder any family ever has more than one kid!

Absolutely no real life children were telepathically induced to sleep in the process of inspiring this fic...

*whispers* because it doesn't work for humans

*hugs* Brilliant!

not a problem I've ever had, but I can certainly sympathise, hubby's night shifts have a similar effect on me at times, lol

Poor Rose. Poor Doctor. I can't think of a more proper use for telepathy.

Maybe a bit improper, but hey, young kids need lots of sleep at those ages, and parents need alone time every now and then. *nods vigirously*

[identity profile] yenly-gozal.livejournal.com 2010-12-19 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! Sweet...

Fabulous! I love the conflict between adoring the children and needing alone time.
Thank you.

Not inspired by real life events at all huh? Somehow I don't quite believe you lol. I think most parents can relate to this story. I know my husband would be quite vocal on the subject hee. Thanks for the lovely fic.
