Unexpected Wolf Moon is Unexpected

Wolf Moon showed up under the Nine/Rose category today on the Children of Time Awards nomination page.  As I didn't get contacted about that one, I wasn't aware it had been added.  Maybe because it had already been nommed last time I didn't have to accept the nom this time for that one?  Dunno.  Anyway, I was pleased to see it, since it's my personal favorite of my finished fics, my first fic that went over 100,000 words, and one I'm very personally attached to.

They did a massive update on the nom page so lots more things have been added.  I've already read the vast majority of them, but there are a few that are new to me that I'll likely be taking a look at before the voting starts in February.

I just realized.  I'm going to be at Disneyland when the results are tallied and posted. *pouts*  Still, Disneyland!

I was so happy to see so many of my friends on the noms page.  It's lovely to see so many fics I love on there, but it's going to make voting hard!

Hee. Thanks, dear. I really want Wolf Moon to win something. I honestly think it's an even better fic than Zeppelins, but that could be have something to do with the manner in which it was created and written. It was so consuming and burned through me so fast. I dunno. It's just my baby. I'm so proud of it, you know? This is nuts. A couple of months ago, I didn't know about and couldn't have cared less about awards. This one I want. *sighs* But life will go without, too. *smiles*

Do you know that " Wolf Moon " made me buy Creedence Clearwater Revival's brilliant " Bad Moon Rising " ? Of course you don't but
it's true. I spent my money on Itunes and it was totally worth it.
I knew this song before and of course I do know Creedence Clearwater Revival but after reading Wolf Moon " Bad Moon rising " is special to me.
Every time I hear this song I have to think about Doctor Who, about Wolf Moon, about Zeppelins and about you and your writing.
And because this song is on my running playlist ( and I run at least 40 miles a week ) it happens that I think damn often about this all.

Jeez... and now I got carried away.
Long story short : Wolf Moon is my favorite Alt!Universe Nine/Rose fiction and I'm glad for its nomination

i recently finished wolf moon, and i can say it deserves t be up there. voting is goign to be very tough with all those people i know up there though

Thanks. I think the competition is going to be a lot more fierce this time around. Lot of really good fics up there.

As for Disney, I will, but that's not until the end of Feb. I'm hoping California will at least be warm by then. I'm so sick of snow and rain already, I want it to be nice when we go.
