Ah, that's the worst - tape recorder! Seriously, that's what saved me a few times.
I recently slammed my finger in the shower door and it hurt like hell for weeks. Still hasn't healed all the way actually. I can imagine breaking it would feel much worse! Feel better soon :)

My neighbor fractured his wrist and hand about two years ago in a very bad accident, and he still can't do much with the hand. He's been using the most advanced version of dragon and swears by it. He has it for everything- emails, word processing program. He said the company has sales online and it's not too expensive.

Ouch! What a pain (no pun intended). If it's going to be an issue for a while and you really want to write then perhaps you might consider Dragon? I've seen it on ebay for as little as $60 and the retail version from the real site is about $100.
