I just realized as I re-watched the episode what they may be doing! River's consciousness gets transfered into the Cal Matrix, but what if it was then transfered into the TARDIS? Thus bringing the TARDIS to life. OOOO what a timey wimey that would make and would explain why the TARDIS suddenly started responding to the Doctor snapping his fingers. Hmmmmm interesting idea. Wonder if I got this one figured out, it would explain a lot of things.
