Day 17: A pairing you never thought would work out, but did?
Dana Scully and Fox Mulder from the X-files.
As a fan of the series from day one I wanted them to work out as a romantic couple, I just never thought that the show would give it to us. It hadn't been that long since the Moonlighting debacle and every writer in Hollywood seemed afraid of making the same mistake. UST was good, RST, not so much. It was always clear from about season 2 on that these two loved each other, but I really thought it could never be. I am so glad that finally, at the end, they let them just be in love and together.
Day 18: What is the cutest pairing?
Hanna and Lucas from Pretty Little Liars
Former fat girl turned beauty queen Hanna and nerdy, sweet, cutiepie Lucas are developing a slow friendship that I've enjoyed watching immensely. He's clearly smitten and she's obviously got feelings for him, but is afraid to admit it even to herself. While her boyfriend (now ex) tears down her confidence and self-esteem, Lucas works to build it up. Hanna can be her true self around Lucas, the girl she's always been, not the girl who puts on a show for the rest of the world as she tries to maintain top of the totem pole status. If she lets that go and lets herself be who she really is, I think this pairing has a great chance at working out and I really hope the writers see that.
Day 19: A pairing you've rooted for since the beginning.
Aria and Ezra from Pretty Little Liars
There are all kinds of wrong with this relationship, and I would NEVER condone it in real life, and yet I can't help being in love with it because of who these two people are. They met in a pub and the chemistry was immediate, hot, and desperate. They were two strangers passing in the night and what might have been a one night stand turned into something far more when school started the next day and Aria found out that her new lover was her new English teacher. They tried to stay away from each other, but just couldn't help being drawn back together again and again. The explosiveness of their chemistry and the danger of being caught adds that extra filip of excitement to things. With blackmail hovering over them (someone else knows), how long can they keep things a secret? I can't wait to find out.
