A/N: From a prompt bysunnytyler001 who wanted Astrid and Walter and friendship. My first Fringe fic. It's just a baby. 100 words in Word.
They call Astrid when they need help with Walter.
She’s more than a babysitter for the shattered husk of a once monstrous man.
They don’t see him like she does. Brilliant despite his brain injury. Childish and selfish because of it. So full of love for those who look after him, so trusting. So easily wounded with that trust betrayed.
“You’re the only one who can see me.”
She agrees that it’s true, unless he’s talking to the cow again. Sometimes she thinks he’s the only one who can see her. Friendship is such a shallow word for kindred spirits.
