Fic Update

Well, I've finished chapter 18 of Leap of Faith and sent it off to be beta'd so if all goes well I shall have a chapter up some time tomorrow.  Not sure when since both of my betas have gone to bed for the night.  Probably afternoonish.

Also, pollen sucks.  I had just gotten used to being able to breathe through my nose again after the sinus infection and now I pretty much have to take two sudafed and a zyrtec and use Vick's Sinex just to breathe for a little bit.  And it's like signing your life away to even get sudafed anymore.  Stupid meth heads screwed it up for all of us law abiding sick people.

I walked down stairs yesterday one foot per step for the first time since October and again today, so that was a bright spot.  I'm getting almost full mobility back in my knee now.  The surgery was December 7 so I'm about a month ahead of schedule.  That makes me happy.  I still have to be careful pivoting or squatting too long, but most of the time it almost feels like normal now.  So yay.

I can definitely chase the chickens and ducks back into the coop now which even last week was a touch difficult.  They have gotten so big, I'll have to take another photo and post it soon.

you're taking two sudafed AND zyrtec? please tell me it's not zyrtec d *pharmacy tech worry mode* yeah i've been feeling crummy the past few days, i'm really hoping i can get thru this spring without getting anything but i'm over tired and overworked this week...ugh. constantly exhausted..feel better soon! hugs

No, just regular zyrtec. The combination of the two is the only thing that gives any relief at all. My doctor keeps trying to find perscription drugs that will cut it but we haven't so far. Not even zyrtec d. Thanks.

You allow your betas to sleep? You're too godd to them. Make them work!

Yes, the sinuses have been unhappy here in Ohio, too. Love Spring, hate the allergens. Will you do what you can to make them leave before I'm out there for Memorial Day? Pretty please? :)

Hooray for your knee healing moderately ahead of schedule!

I have been hit with allergies for the first time in 40 years. I'm trying not to whine about it b/c I know how lucky I am. Maybe Chapter 18 will help? ;-)

I'm glad your knee is doing better. I've had several friends and family get knee replacements and after the recovery, they all were very glad they did so. But recovery was a bear!

Tried Nasonex? I was taking off-brand claritin at night and doing a sinus rinse (with the Neilmed spray bottle) for a while, and it certainly helped, but when I refilled my prescription for Nasonex, it practically set a bomb off in my sinuses and scared all the pollen away. I forget my pill half the time and haven't rinsed since, yet I'm still fine.

Which is good, since I'm allergic to pseudoephedrine.

Also, if you've never tried a sinus rinse... do it. It's a little unpleasant but really helpful. A bottle with a few trial packets of saline might run you $9 at CVS, so it's worth a shot, right?
