Britpick Question

I know that potato chips = crisps.  What about tortilla chips for making nachos?  Are those called crisps as well?  Or something else?

We just call them tortilla chips, in the UK as well :)

As a Yank with a Canuck significant other, I have nothing useful to contribute here...but I must note that the recent Britpicks are making me awfully curious. Tortilla chips and a country/western bar? (eyebrow raises)

I will admit that the thought of alt!Nine doing a twostep is not an unpleasant one, however.

I join you in the eyebrow raise.

*is weird and special and calls them 'taco chips'* Mind you, I always get weird looks or "What did you just call them?" when I do that. And I'm from the Midwest, so.

We just call them doritos, even the ones that aren't of the doritos brand.
