I Would Like to Catch a Break Now, Please, 'k, Thanks

Besides having Quasimodo's eye this week, I also got to have Montazuma's stomach. Or curse. Or whatever. No, technically it was food poisoning from the one item of food I did not make from scratch myself this week and not from drinking bad water across the border. Seriously, the one thing. I think I am totally done buying anything premade from any supermarket deli ever again.

I do not know why I even bother to estimate when something might be done anymore. Because it never happens. Because life is being mean this year. Erm...aside from the weight loss, I mean. I'll keep that.

I am feeling better today. Enough to have made two loaves of bread which are currently rising on my counter top. And the garden starts are in the ground

and they might even make it if Queen will leave them alone.

I probably will have to put chicken wire around it to keep her out. She's like, ooh, look at all the pretty dirt, let's go dig in it. And then she flings things about and some stuff gets uprooted. And it makes me think things like this:

Only she's the best laying hen, so it will never happen, no matter how mad I get at her. She will have a long and happy retirement when she does stop laying, because she has earned it and most of the time she's my favorite. LOL And who are we kidding? I don't think I could ever do it unless we were starving.

Hopefully I will finish up You're What? soon, but I guess I won't make any estimates this time. Just hopefully this week.

Your chicken looks great and it is a plus that she is a good egg laying one. But I will admit that backed chicken looks yummy.

I feel for you love, having watched hubby go through the same thing just the other week *hugs*

I'm always amused when people try to put me on a schedule. My life just doesn't work that way. Nobody's life works that way. You just roll with it and hope you can get a good laugh out of it later.

Nice looking chicken you've got there. Hopefully she'll stay out of your garden.
