"Rabbits have a habit of coming for breakfast and staying for lunch.
Now there's one leaf instead of a bunch!"

So are they eating you out of house and home yet? :-)

They are eating a lot, but fortunately a lot of it is grass, lemon balm, raspberry canes and leaves, blackberry canes and leaves, apple tree twigs and their leaves, kale, chard, oregano, clover, dock, dandelion leaves, purslane, and hay which is either free growing in the yard or relatively cheap. Pellets are $20 for 50 pounds, so it's not too bad. I did the math and it works out to a net result of about $1.50 per pound of lean white meat that is only 3% fat and about $1 a week per rabbit to maintain the breeders.
