The first one is on her pillow when she wakes up. She unfolds the little note on green paper and reads his flourishing script. It directs her to the console room where she finds a pale purple index card taped to the time rotor that sends her to the kitchen. The yellow sticky note on the toaster takes her on the long hike to the wardrobe room. The dress, when she finds it, has a pink piece of card stock pinned to it.

“Wear me,” it says.

She slips into the lavender silk.

The Doctor appears behind her. “Happy Birthday.”
