I've always liked how you write Jack, but never more so than in this chapter. As someone mentioned earlier, Jack deserves someone positively fantastic. It's not easy being caught in the middle and doing what's right for both sides.

Kudos for "I'll regenerate you myself" - cute twist on a classic saying - and for the 8 lbs comment. Like Jack, I still haven't learned to function in the decimal system and still do the conversions. I rather suspect a lot of Americans do - very nice touch.
