I Am So Sick
I suspect I have walking pneumonia based on where the cough is located, the dizziness, and the fever. I have had it often enough to know the symptoms. I have had a cold for a while and moving the last of the boxes from the old house in the rain and 37 degree weather is probably what caused it to progress so badly. It needed to get done and I am glad to have it done, but in retrospect I should have just had Chris do it alone.
I couldn't see the doctor today because he doesn't work on Wednesdays. I will call first thing in the morning (well 10:30, he is near retirement and has reduced office hours and they don't answer the phone before then) because I can't function like this. I was awake all night trying to cough up a lung. I haven't had a good night's sleep in three days, actually. I need cough syrup and sleep medicine and antibiotics if it truly is pneumonia.
I haven't written in days, but I am almost through with season 2 of my rewatch of The X-Files. It is so odd to rewatch this show. The first time I watched it (when it was airing) I was younger than Scully and Mulder and now I'm older than they are. It's like watching it from the wrong side or something. It's not like I haven't seen some of the episodes more than once, but I've never done an in order rewatch of the whole series before. And it is also very interesting to see just how soon they fell in love with each other and came to depend on each other. It is more blatant than I thought it was just going by my memories.
I have also just finished my reread of Anne McCaffrey's Planet Pirates series, the last two books of which were co-wrote with Elizabeth Moon. I can see the seeds of Moon's Vatta's War and Esmay Suiza books here. I want to reread Remnant Population now, but the library doesn't have it and my copy is somewhere in the back of the storage unit. I've been considering a Dragonrider's of Pern series reread, but considering it takes me a week to read a book with my schedule that would take me through the end of the year or so. I'm not sure I want to take that on at the moment. Probably because I have no ambition right now.
I wish the workmen would hurry up and finish the bathroom remodel. I am really getting tired of the cigarette smell and I know it's aggravating my cough. Even though they only smoke outside it comes in with them when they come inside and it lingers on their clothes. It was warm today for a change and we couldn't have the windows open because of it and had to have the air cleaners going full time. I don't know why my mother planned it for spring break when everyone would be home. It will be nice when it is done, but right now it's just irritating. I want to move out yesterday, but until we sell our house or finish saving up for a downpayment that's not an option.
The chicks and ducks are thriving and starting to get big. Still babies and still not feathered out except on the wings, but they've doubled in size. I should take another picture. They are still adorable.

Ohhhh, I hear you about cigarette smoke and how a lot of people seem to think if they aren't actually standing in front of you blowing smoke in your face that then you'd never even know they were smoking. :S The smell that clings to them is just as hard on my allergies as anything. :(
Take care of yourself and feel much better soon! *sends hugs, good thoughts and prayers* ♥♥♥
