Britpick Question

What are the wedding rules in England?  I know you can't get married in a park or at home or I'm thinking outdoors.  Also, why not?  So where is it allowed besides churches?  And who may preside besides a priest or a minister?  Thanks.

Yep! My cousin got married at his parents' house and my brother got married at a friend's house. The location doesn't matter here in the US, you just have to get a marriage license from the town/city you're getting married in and have a justice of the peace, minister, or other registered officiant do the ceremony itself (and the ceremony can be whatever you want, too!). :)
